DAY 1

ARUSHA - MT.MERU - Mariakamba Hut

Mount Meru is located in Tanzania and is the fifth highest mountain in Africa. It is a great mountain to climb and offers spectacular scenery, including views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Drive 1 Hr,  Hike Distance 10 km, 4 – 5 hrs, 1000m ascent, Alt: 2516

Dinner and overnight Mariakamba Hut


DAY 2

MT.MERU - Saddle Hut

Hike Distance 4km, 2 – 3 hrs, 1050m ascent, Alt: 3566

Dinner and overnight Saddle Hut.

The mountain is unspoilt and less congested as compared to it’s Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya counterparts.

 


DAY 3

MT.MERU - to Momella Gate and back to Arusha

 

 Hike Distance 14km, 6 to 8hrs, 3050m descent, Alt: 1516

The Mt Meru ascent passes through many different vegetation zones. The dry forest of the lower region changes to a dense mountain rainforest, which then turns into scrubland.The way back during the ascent, you might come across large game such as giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, colobus monkeys and antelopes. 

Drive 1 hr back to Arusha.

DAY 4

Tarangire

 

Early morning drive to Tarangire - highest population of elephants and biggest Baobab trees. 

Full day game drive in the parks.

Dinner and overnight in hotel in Karatu

DAY 5

Ngorongoro Crater

 After early breakfast full day crater tour   -  Nature wonder , amaizing views - house of black rhinos  - World Heritage Site and Masaai land. 

Dinner and accomodation in Octagon Lodge or Sunrise Lodge , Karatu 

 


DAY 6

Karatu - Zanzibar

 After long breakfast drive Arusha airport via Masai village and Snake park. 

Flight to Zanzibar.

Transfer to beach hotel 

Amaan bungalows BB ( change hotel on reguest) 

 


DAY 7 - 9

Zanzibar

 

 Zanzibar is an archipelago of historic Indian Ocean islands, awash with atmosphere, intrigue, and idyllic beach experiences. There are masses of accommodation options across the price spectrum, and plenty to see, do and discover. Snorkeling, diving Zanzibar tour and excursions. Many things to do in Zanzibar


DAY 10

Stone Town Zanzibar

After breakfast slowly get ready to leave beach hotel and car will transfer to hotel in Stone town. 
Last day in Tanzania. You can plan some tour - Historical tour, Jozani Forest or my be Spice island. More info about tour:
