AFRICA

When you have caught the rhythm of Africa, you find that it is the same in all her music.’ And it's not just the tribal drums, but the rhythms of the land :the sound of Serengeti makes as it wakes each morning, a mountain gorilla rustling through the Ugandan jungle or the thunder of wildebeest hooves across the Masai Mara. Kick back on the chalk-white beaches of Zanzibar, chat with vendors in the spice-filled and watch plodding elephants from the snowy summit of Kilimanjaro.

Africa is calling. Come and get rhythm

Safaris can be physically taxing and strenuous, and you may not see all the animals you expected. Since most safari destinations are in developing sub-Saharan nations, travelers must take certain safety and health precautions. If you're planning a safari (or just dreaming about it), be as prepared as possible. Get some good guidebooks, talk to friends who've been to Africa and search. We've outlined some important safari basics, from choosing a destination to getting vaccinated, to help you start planning a successful African adventure.

                 Passport & Visa

A passport is required for all foreign visitors and has to be valid for at least six months.

Citizens of most countries require a visa, which can be obtained at arrival, but can apply for a visa before your departure in nearest Embassy of Tanzania.

    Vaccination & Health Safety

The best insurance for carefree trips is a per-travel consultation with a travel health doctor who specializes in travel health care and tell about your Africa travel plans.

You will need a yellow fever vaccination for travel to East Africa.

The following vaccinations are also highly recommended for travel to every African country:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Meningococcal meningitis
  • Rabies
  • Typhoid
  • yellow fever

Some African countries have actual entry requirements and won't let you in unless you have proof you've been vaccinated against a specific disease. The most common is yellow fever .

Keep in mind that many vaccinations take several weeks to provide full protection, so don't put off your shots till the last minute

                         Malaria

Malaria is present in many safari parks and towns around the safari parks. Proper protection from mosquito bites and medication are essential to protect travelers.

Malaria is common there, but there is no vaccine for the disease. You can protect yourself from malaria by taking an anti-malaria treatment or avoiding mosquitoes.

How to avoid Malaria

  • Use a mosquito net at night
  • Spray your room before you go to sleep
  • Switch off all lights while you are sleeping since mosquitoes are attracted to light
  • Avoid wearing strong after-shave or perfume, the smell will attract mosquitoes
  • Wear long pants and long-sleeved clothing especially around dawn and dusk when the anopheles mosquitoes are most active
